“The University and the City. An Agenda for the New Century” Conference


“The University and the City. An Agenda for the New Century”– a conference to understanding the international perspectives and focusing attention on relationship between the Universities and their hosting cities. The term “relationships” covers sectors such as urban city-planning, healthcare, social and economic sectors.

University Rectors coming from different countries around the world and local Mayors will share their experiences and present about specific cases studies.

Professors, students, representatives of local institutions, associations, agencies working in university cities are invited to attend the conference.

The conference organized by University of Pavia and CRUI will be held for the first time in Italy, in Pavia, a city that holds the oldest Universities in Italy. It will take place for three days in September 2015 (9th, 10th and 12th). The official languages of the conference are English and Italian.
