Fees & Scholarships

You are classified as either EU or Non-EU student for the purpose of assessing your tuition fees.
For EU students, the tuition fees are calculated according to the economic situation of the family of the student, on the basis of the ISEP Index.
In order to attract the most talented and motivated candidates, Humanitas University has established a scholarship programme for EU and Non-EU students, with scholarships worth between €5.000 and €23.000 per academic year.

Tuition Fees

EU Students

For European students, tuition fees at Humanitas University are calculated according to the economic situation of the family of the student. There are four different categories of income, calculated according to the economic situation of the student’s family on the basis of the ISEP Index. Check the calculation formula here

The fees indicated below are yearly and cover the cost of the course. They do not include accommodation, food, books or other services. Info on our accommodation services are available here

Across the various years of course, the fee will not vary to such an extent as to significantly impact the economic situation of the student.

Non-EU Students

Humanitas University offers a number of merit-based scholarships for both European and non-European students per academic year.


EU Students

For the academic year 2024/2025, there are 7 scholarships reserved for EU citizens resident in Italy:

  • 1 full scholarship funded by Fondazione Rocca, worth between €10,000.00 and €23,000.00, for students whose ISEE 2024 is below €50.000. Candidates can only apply for the Fondazione Rocca scholarship if ranked within the first 30 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List.
  • 1 partial scholarship reserved for students participating in the final selection Alfieri del Lavoro Award, reducing tuition costs to a total of € 5,156.00. Only candidates who hold an ISEE 2024 value not higher than € 40,000.00 and who are ranked within the first 100 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List can apply for this scholarship.
  • 5 partial scholarships, reducing tuition costs to a total of € 5,156.00. Only candidates who hold an ISEE 2024 value not higher than € 40,000.00 and who are ranked within the first 100 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List can apply for this scholarship.

For the academic year 2024/2025, there are scholarships reserved for EU citizens not resident in Italy:

  • 2 partial scholarships, reducing tuition costs to a total of € 5,156.00. Only the first 10 candidates who are ranked within the first 100 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List can apply for this scholarship.

Non-EU Students

For the academic year 2024/2025, there are 3 scholarships available to Non-EU students, worth €18.000 per year. Candidates who are ranked within the first 10 positions of the final Non-EU Ranking List are entitled to apply.

FAQ’S
Q: Who is eligible for a Scholarship?

EU citizens resident in Italy who:

  • have obtained a Grade Point Average (GPA) greater than or equal to 7.5/10 in the two years preceding the final school year. An equivalent score is required for candidates with a non-Italian Secondary School diploma;
  • are ranked within the first 100 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List;
  • hold an ISEE 2024 value not higher than € 40,000.00.

EU citizens not resident in Italy who:

  • are the first 10 candidates who are ranked within the first 100 positions in the Entrance Exam Ranking List.

* Scholarships funded by Fondazione Rocca and Alfieri del Lavoro Award are awarded according to futher detailed criteria within the Scholarships Regulation.

Q: How does it work?

The scholarship is a full or a partial tuition waiver (discount on the tuition fees) worth between €5.000 and €23.000 yearly.

Q: Is it possible to keep the scholarship for the entire length of my degree course?

The scholarship will be automatically renewed annually until graduation if the student:

  • maintains a weighted grade average equal to or higher than 27/30;
  • achieves a minimum annual number of University Credits within the month of September,  as specified in the Scholarships Regulation.
Q: How  to apply for a Scholarship?
  • Apply for the medical admissions test;
  • Take the admission test;
  • Wait for the final ranking;
  • Send the assignment request at the latest by 2nd April, as indicated in Methods of Participation in the Scholarships Regulation.

Student Loan

per Merito Intesa Sanpaolo

Humanitas University is committed on a daily basis to offering its contribution to students motivated to embark on a path of study, growth and autonomy.

For this reason an agreement has been signed with Intesa Sanpaolo, in order to make all students aware of the credit solution devised by the bank that enables them to broaden their skills and, at the same time, allow them to face their course of study with peace of mind.

The Per Merito loan, worth a maximum of € 8,000 per year* for up to five years, can be disbursed in six-monthly installments to students regularly enrolled and resident in Italy from the first year of their course, if they meet the following requirements:

Students enrolled in the first year of the course
Diploma mark of 85/100 or higher:

– Regular payment of tuition fees

Diploma mark of less than 85/100:

– Regular payment of tuition fees and

– 80% of examinations or 20 CFUs obtained in the first academic semester

Students enrolled in subsequent years
– Regular payment of tuition fees and

– 80% of the examinations or 20 CFUs obtained in the previous academic semester

*€ 4,000 for on-site students, i.e. residents in the same municipality in which the educational activity is carried out (headquarters or branch office).

  • Regular payment of tuition fees and
  • 80% of the examinations or 20 CFUs obtained in the previous academic semester

Features of the loan

  • duration of the loan: max. 5 years
  • duration of the “Bridge Period”: max. 2 years
  • duration of the loan repayment plan at the end of the “Bridge Period”: min. 6 months and max. 30 years

Evaluation of the income category for enrolled students

Humanitas University assists enrolled students in determining their own income category with a new web service for uploading the required financial documents (mandatory step to request our support for the evaluation of the income category).

To access the web service, register using your Hunimed email account. You will receive a link to create your unique password.

This service is ONLY available to students already enrolled.
