Fees for the Medicine course may vary depending on your family income. Merit-based scholarships are yearly available for European and non-European students. Student Loans starting from the 2nd year of the degree course.

The amount of the tuition fees is determined annually by the University.
2020-21 Fees for the Medicine course are determined according to the following table. In order to attract the most talented and motivated candidates, Humanitas University has established a merit based scholarship programme, with some full scholarships and others worth between 17.000 and 10.000 €/year each.

Across the various years of course, the fee within the same income category will not vary to such an extent as to significantly impact the economic situation of the student.

For European students, tuition fees at Humanitas University are calculated according to the economic situation of the family of the student. There are four different categories of income, calculated according to the economic situation of the student’s family on the basis of the ISEP Index.

Evaluation of the income category for enrolled students

Humanitas University assists enrolled students in determining their own income category with:

  • new web service for uploading the required financial documents (mandatory step to request our support for the evaluation of the income category)
  • final validation with our accountants.
To access the web service, register using your Hunimed e-mail account. You will receive a link to create a password.
This service is available ONLY for the already enrolled students.

Scholarships ranking available

Candidates who have been interviewed for scholarships, excluding those who compete for the scholarship dedicated to the Natural Science Olympics, have to complete their registration by Sunday, March 15th.

Humanitas University yearly offers a number of merit based scholarships for both European and non-European students.


EU Students

For the 2020 entry, 7 scholarships are available for Eu students:

  • 1 full tuition merit-based scholarship funded by Fondazione Rocca;
  • 4 merit-based scholarships worth 17.000 € per year;
  • 1 scholarship worth 10.000 € per year reserved to High School Students entitled of the award “Premio Alfieri del lavoro”;
  • 1 scholarship worth 10.000 € per year reserved to High School Students who partecipated in the Natural Science Olympics (Olimpiadi delle Scienze Naturali);

Additional scholarships may become available.

  • 3 scholarships worth 20.000 € per year;

Q: Who is eligible for a Scholarship?

Candidates who meet the following:

  • The merit-based scholarships will be given accordingly with the position in the HUMAT admission test ranking.

*Different conditions concern to the Scholarships reserved to those students who participated in the Premio Alfieri del Lavoro and Natural Science Olympics

Q: How does it work?

The scholarship  might be a total coverage of the annual fee or a tuition waiver (discount on the tuition fees) worth 10.000 € yearly.

Q: Can I keep the scholarship for the entire length of my degree course?

The scholarship will be automatically renewed annually until graduation if you:

  • maintain an average grade of 27/30 weighted by credits awarded (GPA)
  • complete a minimum annual number of University credits (CFU) as specified in Article 7 of the Scholarships Regulations

Loans

In agreement with Banca Intesa, Humanitas University offers students the possibility to apply for a per Merito Loan, an annual loan of €7,000.

The pre-requisites to apply for the loan are the following:

  • European Union Citizenship and Residency
  • Must have completed the first year of Medicine with at least 51 credits
  • Grade Average of at least 26/30

All requests must be submitted at the beginning of each new academic year by the end of October.

Annual re-newal of the per Merito Loan is guaranteed with the following requirements:

  • Maintained a Grade Average of at least 26/30
  • No history of repeating an academic year
  • Attained at least 86 credits by the end of the 2nd year
  • Attained at least 162 credits by the end of the 3rd year
  • Attained at least 219 credits by the end of the 4th year
  • Attained at least 261 creadits by the end of the 5th year

Following graduation, the Loan Repayment time period is 11 years. Interest rate applied is Eurirs 9 years + 2,95% during the loan disbursement phase and Eurirs 10 years + 2,95% during the loan repayment period.
