Through this interview, we are able to better understand the perspectives of Subharsee Biswas from India (2nd year Hunimed student) and Omar Abu Agla from Sudan (1st year Hunimed student).

Here’s a summary of their main answers.

Could you give me three adjectives to describe your degree course at Hunimed?

Subharsee: It is challenging, interesting and enjoyable.
Omar: Fascinating, well prepared and definitely challenging.

How would you describe Hunimed students?

Subharsee: Well in Hunimed the thing that struck me most about my peers is how well we worked together towards the same goal. We have a really good way of working together and helping each other out in any way we can.

Omar: Hardworking and focused on studies. Also, another thing I have noticed is that everyone is really respectful of everyone else and very nice in general.

What is your impression of the lectures?

Subharsee: Overall I feel like the lectures are engaging, they are very informative, and they have a strong emphasis on research because Humanitas is a research hospital, so we are constantly up to date with the things that are new in the medical field.

Omar: Most of the lecturers are specialists in that field, so they know very well what they are talking about, and it helps us as students to understand the topic even better, and as she said, it is also very engaging and very informative.

What message would you send to a future student?

Subharsee: Dear prospective student, if you are looking for a course which will fascinate you which will challenge you, and will make you fall in love with the subject more every single day, then please do consider Humanitas University. There are amazing people, amazing professors, amazing friends, and of course the city of Milan is absolutely magical!

Omar: Dear prospective student, when you are coming to this course, please put in mind that it is not a walk in the park. This is going to be a challenging course, but at the same time it is going to be fun, and everyone is going to help you. All you need to do is work hard, and you will get whatever you work for. The university is a really nice place. It’s a good place to study, with a great environment, and the greatest people. Also remember, always have fun because your mental health is very important.
