Medical shows, which one will you be watching?

Are you one of those people who like to stay up till late binge watching medical tv series? Here is the exact place where you want to be.
Everybody has to put up with withdrawal syndrome after finishing their beloved show and it’s never a slam dunk at the beginning.
What if the recovery could be faster than you thought? These series will whip you up into a frenzy. WARNING: your social life could be at stake!

The Knick

Set in downtown New York in 1900. The plot is centered on the Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff who work there, pushing the boundaries of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and nonexistent antibiotics. The crown jewel of the show is its historical accuracy and while the surgeons are performing in the operating theatre the camera never flinches from the surgical procedure! All the surgeries are highly detailed and the series is nothing but alluring for a medical student.
Thanks to its blunt and cold yet real form of storytelling, The Knick is one of the best medical drama up for grabs.

House M.D.

Bored of the classic gentle and plain kind of physician? This might be the series for you. Dr. House is the anti-hero you have been craving for so long. He is a cranky, cynical, highly intelligent limping doctor specialized in solving puzzling medical cases, and he never throws in the towel! In every episode he contrasts his cadre of hand-picked colleagues, complete with starched white lab coats, who struggle as much with their professionally imposed constraints and sense of decorum, as they do with his personality. Humour never leaves the Hospital thank to its razor-sharp wit! I can definitely assure you that after watching a bunch of installments your brain will be left with a fresh feeling.

Grey’s Anatomy

Are you eager to indulge yourself in a tearjerker medical romance? Then this is the show that fits you perfectly. Here the real protagonist are not the surgical procedures which are often moved to the background, but the endeavour of young people struggling to be doctors and doctors struggling to be human. The lion’s share of the plot is centered on Meredith Grey, which is the main character of the series, and her fellow residents navigating their way through daily traumas and social land mines of life inside and outside the hospital.
So, are you the kind of softie person? Well, if the answer is yes, you will be definitely hooked by this series!

Scrubs

Scrubs is a unique blend of in-your-face, slapstick, outrageous humor. The show is flat-out original and it’s one of the few series that can make you laughing out loud to welling up in a span of 20 minutes. Not only does it show real life medical exploits, but it manages to depict them in a way that viewers can still relate to them, but that’s not entirely the hard, naked truth. It’s ingenious. By watching the series, you get all the little bits, rounds, treating a patient, researching what may be wrong with him/her/it, but all that stuff which manages to look funny really is trivial. Belly laughs are inevitable!

What are you waiting for? Hurry up and take a gander to la crème de la crème of medical drama!
