In 1994, Prof Alberto Zambelli graduated with honors at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Pavia. In 1998 he obtained the Specialization in Allergy and Clinical Immunology and in 2003 the Specialization in Oncology, both at the University of Pavia.

From 1998 to 2014 he held the role of highly specialized medical assistant at the Oncology Unit of the IRCCS Maugeri Foundation of Pavia; in 2014 he took up the position of Deputy Scientific Director of the IRCCS Maugeri Foundation of Pavia. From 2014 to 2021 he held the role of oncologist at ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo, with a highly specialized position, fully dedicated to the diagnosis, research and treatment of breast cancer.

From March 2010-September 2010 he attended the Daniel Den Hoed-Cancer Center of Erasmus University in Rotterdam (NL).

From 2016 to 2021 he held the position of adjunct professor for the Postgraduate School of Oncology and adjunct professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (Harvey course in English) of the University of Pavia. From 2017 to 2021 he assumed the role of Head of the Master in Oncological Genetics of the University of Pavia. From 2019 to 2021 he held the position of adjunct professor for the School of Medicine of the University of Milan-Bicocca.

Professor Alberto Zambelli is a member of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) and since 2018 he has been a co-author of the national guidelines (AIOM) for breast cancer.
