My Summer Experience

Last summer I went to Waco, Texas, where I shadowed a gynecologist, dr Seirafi.
I had the opportunity to attend his private practice and Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where I followed doctors and residents in the delivery rooms, gynecological OR, cancer conferences (multidisciplinary meetings with discussion about clinical cases and lectures), pathology department, imaging department and ER.
All the doctors and residents I worked with were very friendly and extremely willing to teach and answer my questions. I found myself in a multicultural environment, with doctors and patients from all over the world.
It was a very positive experience that allowed me to learn a lot from both a medical and from a personal point of view; in fact, I will consider applying to a residency program in the US after graduation.
