Occupational health and safety
Humanitas University has a specialised team dedicated to prevention and to promoting the wellbeing of the university community across the campus: lecture theatres, laboratories, libraries, offices and shared spaces. Key activities include:
- Risk assessment for new activities or research projects;
- Recommendations on personal and collective protective equipment;
- Ergonomic checks of study and work environments;
- Coordination with Occupational Medicine teams and the safety units of the Humanitas Hospital Group.

Emergencies and First Aid
Campus safety is ensured by an organised emergency management system operating 24/7 and strengthened during peak times of campus activity.
It includes:
Specialised emergency teams
In case of fire: personnel trained for high‑risk scenarios (level 3), maintenance technicians and fire wardens.
In case of a medical emergency: healthcare staff and operators trained in first aid and BLS‑D (Basic Life Support & Defibrillation).
A medical room
equipped with first‑aid supplies and an AED, available to authorised personnel.
Regular evacuation drills
to test the effectiveness of procedures and raise awareness across the university community.
