Dr. Luciano is a Rheumatologist with a strong background in clinical assistance of patients affected by Sjögren’s syndrome and chronic inflammatory arthritis; she developed specific skills in the use of ultrasonography for the evaluation of patients affected by chronic inflammatory arthritis and of capillaroscopy in patients referring Raynaud’s phenomenon and systemic sclerosis.
During her residency period, she partecipated in consensus meetings with the International Ultrasonography Study Group aimed to standardize the ultrasound evaluation of major salivary glands in Sjogren’s Syndrome.
Dr. Luciano actively participate to several clinical trials (from Phase II to Phase IV) for new biotechnological treatments and novel diagnostic tools in rheumatic diseases, mainly in inflammatory arthritis.
Main research fields
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Psoriatic arthritis and Spondyloarthritis
- Sjogren’s Syndrome
