European partners meet in Milan for SPIRIT project

On 12th and 13th May 2025, Humanitas University had the honor of hosting the latest transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220 SPIRIT project (Simulation Program for Interprofessional Readiness and Immersive Training).

The event brought together representatives from three fellow medical universities of the #EUGLOH alliance (European University Alliance for Global Health):

This important meeting marked a significant milestone in the SPIRIT project, which aims to develop a comprehensive curriculum for training interprofessional trainers operating in university simulation centres. Over the course of two days, participants engaged in focused discussions and working sessions dedicated to the project’s various work packages, reviewing updates, aligning strategies, and outlining the next operational steps.

Fostering collaboration and innovation in medical education

The meeting fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas around best practices in simulation-based medical education. Particular emphasis was placed on curriculum design, implementation models, and pedagogical strategies that promote interprofessional collaboration and immersive learning.

Beyond the technical discussions, the event also reinforced the strong partnership among the institutions involved, highlighting a shared commitment to educational innovation, research excellence, and cross-border collaboration in training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The Milan meeting laid a solid foundation for the upcoming phases of the SPIRIT project, which continues to grow as a dynamic and impactful European initiative.
