Sebastiano Bariselli

Sebastiano Bariselli aims to understand the role of aberrant mother-infant interaction in the development and severity of neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases. In particular, he utilizes environmental and genetic models of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) to investigate sex-specific deficits in meso-cortico-striatal circuits. To do so, he combines a wide array of physiology techniques, including in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology as well as in vivo fiber photometry combined with behavioral assays.
