IDEM GARR
Il progetto IDEM GARR è un’iniziativa volta a migliorare la gestione delle identità digitali e l’accesso sicuro ai servizi online per le istituzioni accademiche e di ricerca. L’obiettivo principale del progetto è fornire un’infrastruttura affidabile e scalabile che consenta agli utenti di accedere a una vasta gamma di risorse e servizi con un’unica identità digitale.
Il progetto prevede l’integrazione di sistemi di gestione delle identità esistenti e l’implementazione di nuove tecnologie per garantire la sicurezza e la privacy degli utenti. Inoltre, il progetto mira a facilitare la collaborazione tra le istituzioni partecipanti, migliorando l’efficienza e riducendo i costi operativi.
Hunimed partecipa a IDEM (IDEntity Management federato per l’accesso ai servizi) per la realizzazione dell’Infrastruttura di Autenticazione e Autorizzazione federata della rete GARR.
Informazioni rilasciate
I servizi accessibili attraverso l’autenticazione Federata sono resi disponibili da membri e partner della Federazione Idem. Il sistema può rilasciare al fornitore di ciascun servizio specifico le seguenti informazioni:
- Nome e cognome dell’utente
- Indirizzo e-mail
- Identificativo anonimo, persistente, non riassegnabile, dell’utente (una stringa generata automaticamente dal sistema che non contiene informazioni personali)
- Affiliazione dell’utente (consiste di un macro-profilo dell’utente, per esempio Student, Staff, Teacher)

The IDEM GARR project is an initiative aimed at improving the management of digital identities and secure access to online services for academic and research institutions. The main objective of the project is to provide a reliable and scalable infrastructure that allows users to access a wide range of resources and services with a single digital identity.
The project involves the integration of existing identity management systems and the implementation of new technologies to ensure user security and privacy. Additionally, the project aims to facilitate collaboration among participating institutions, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
Hunimed participates in IDEM (Federated IDEntity Management for Service Access) for the implementation of the GARR Network Federated Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure.
Released information
Services accessible through federated authentication are provided by members and partners of the IDEM federation. The system may expose the following information to the provider of each specific service:
- First and last name of the user
- E-mail address
- Anonymous, persistent, non-assignable user identifier (a string automatically generated by the system that does not contain personal information)
- User’s affiliation (consists of a macro profile of the user, e.g. student, staff, teacher)
