I loro lavori hanno aperto la strada per arrivare con grandissima rapidit\u00e0 ad un vaccino efficace contro il Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katalin Karik\u00f3<\/strong>, ungherese, 68 anni, \u00e8 la tredicesima donna a ricevere il Nobel per la Medicina. Nel 2021 Katalin Karik\u00f3 \u00e8 stata invitata ad aprire l\u2019anno accademico di Humanitas University. Con l\u2019occasione, la prof.ssa Karik\u00f2 aveva ricevuto la prima<strong> laurea honoris causa in Medicina<\/strong> dell\u2019Ateneo \u201cin considerazione dello straordinario contributo allo studio e allo sviluppo di una nuova generazione di vaccini basati sulla innovativa tecnologia a mRNA, tra cui quello anti COVID 19, a ulteriore conferma del valore dell\u2019integrazione tra conoscenze mediche e applicazioni tecnologiche\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Cos\u00ec <a class=\"arrow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hunimed.eu\/it\/member\/maria-rescigno\/\"><strong>Maria Rescigno<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 Pro-Rettore alla Ricerca, durante la Laudatio: \u201cHo avuto la fortuna di partecipare a un seminario tenuto dalla dottoressa Karik\u00f3 all\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Cambridge. Dopo il seminario, disse una cosa davvero importante: le persone che lavorano nella scienza lavorano per il piacere di fare nuove scoperte, di comprendere i meccanismi alla base dei processi biologici.
