EU Medical Admissions Test

The 2017 Medical Admissions Test for European students will take place on 4 September 2017 in Milan, London, Paris, Munich and many other cities across Europe. See the Test Centres list.

The number of places available for EU and EU equated citizens is established as 80.

Test centres

The 2017 Medical Admissions Test for European students will take place on 4 September 2017 at the test centres listed below.

The number of seats available at each test centre is limited and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once the application is completed with the test fee payment, Humanitas University will send an e-mail to the candidate to confirm the availability of the selected test centre. The address of the selected test venue will be specified in the confirmation email. Confirmation will be given starting from June 12th. A time lapse of some days may occur between the payment and the e-mail confirmation of the test venue.

Apply for the Test

You can apply:

  • until August 20th 2017 for all test centres except for Milan;
  • until August 27th 2017 for the Milan test centre.

The application can be done exclusively through MyPortal following the 3-step online procedure described below. Application and payment must be both completed within August 20th for all test centres but Milan and within August 27th for Milan.

1. Registration on MyPORTAL

During the registration phase you will be asked to insert your personal data and at the end you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password to access the system and go on to the following phases of the admission process.

Remember that the username and password are essential to browse your reserved area.

 

2. Application

In order to take the admission test, you must complete the application procedure by accessing your reserved area on MyPortal (click here to login) using the username and password received via mail in the registration phase. Select Registrar’s Office from the menu on your left and click on Admissions test.

During the application procedure you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire for the choice of the test location. The choice must be done online and is irrevocable.

 

Candidates with disabilities must specify their condition when applying, following instructions reported in Article 4 of the Call for Application.

3. Payment

The test application is finalized only after the payment of the test fee of euro 160, that must be completed by August 20th 2017 for all test centres except for Milan and by August 27th for the Milan test centre.

The payment can be performed by MAV, credit card or bank transfer.

Payment by bank transfer and MAV must be done by August 16th for all test centres but Milan and by August 23rd 2017 for the Milan test centre. In the bank transfer description candidate’s surname and name must be specified and all the bank charges must be at the candidate’s expense. Moreover, you are requested to send us a proof of payment to info@hunimed.eu.

The test fee shall in no case be reimbursed. Please note that the payment of the Admissions Test fee alone does not mean application has been completed.

In the Medical Admissions Test students are required to answer 60 multiple-choice questions with five response options in 100 minutes:

Tips from the teachers 

The Test Day

The Admissions Test for European Students will be paper-based and will take place on Monday, September 4th, 2017 in the locations listed in the Test Centres section (Article 15 of the Call).

Candidates are not allowed to leave the test within the first 60 minutes and within the last 15 minutes of the test.

Candidates sitting the test in Milan will have to present at 9.00 am for identification and registration with a valid identity document – identity card, driving license or passport – on penalty of exclusion.

Candidates sitting the test in any other city will have to arrive to the selected location 30 minutes in advance to complete the registration procedures.

Test Assessment and Rankings

Given the numbers of places available, students will be admitted according to the ranking in descending order of test score and provided that they obtain a minimum score of 20 points.

The test scores are assigned as follows:

  • 1,5 points for each correct answer
  • – 0,4 points for each incorrect answer
  • 0 points for each non-given answer.

The highest achievable score is 90 points.

In case of a draw, the points scored by the candidates respectively in the logic and problem solving subjects, general culture, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics respectively will prevail in descending order.

In case of further draw, the youngest student will prevail.

Ranking List and Enrolment

The ranking list will be published on this page on September 20th, 2017, maintaining anonymity.

Admitted candidates (from position n. 1 to position n. 80) and candidates from position n. 81 to position n. 140 must enrol online between September 20th and September 26th, 2017.

Candidates from position n. 81 to position n. 140 are entitled of a conditional enrolment, that will be confirmed by e-mail on September 27th , based on the places available due to withdrawal of students placed from position n. 1 to position n. 80 of the ranking list.  

The first instalment of € 4.156 must be paid by all candidates from position 1 to 140 mandatorily within September 26th on penalty of exclusion.

In the event that places available for conditional enrolment are completed, the first instalment (amount of 4.000 €) will be reimbursed within the month of October. The regional tax of an amount of 156 € will never be reimbursed.
