His clinical and translational research activity is focused on the treatment of colorectal disease including colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease with minimally invasive approach, improvement of perioperative pathway and outcomes.
He is actually involved in several multicenter international and national studies on topics related to colorectal surgery.
He is member of the European Society of Coloproctology and actively works as reviewer for majors surgical peer-reviewed journals.
He is author/co-author of scientific publications including papers on peer-reviewed journals, and congress abstracts with more than a thousand citations.
