2016 Admissions

Admittance to the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery is subject to selection through the University’s Admissions Test.

The 2016 Medical Admissions Test for European students will take place on September 8th in Milan and many other cities across Europe: see the Test Centres list.

The number of places available for EU and EU equated citizens* is established as 80. Download the 2016 Call for Applications. Go to the Apply section for instructions:

Test Centres

The 2016 Medical Admissions Test for European students will take place on September 8th in the test centres listed below.

The number of seats available in the test centres outside of Italy is limited. Once the application is completed with the test fee payment, Humanitas University will send an e-mail to the candidate to confirm the availability of the selected test centre. The address of the selected test venue will be specified in the confirmation email.

Confirmation will be given starting from June 10. A time lapse of some days may occur between the payment and the e-mail confirmation of the test venue.

Apply for the test

Applications for the EU test are now open! The Admissions Test for EU citizens will take place on September 8 in several Test Centres.

The application for the test can be done exclusively online through MyPortal following the 3-step procedure described below. Application and payment must be completed by August 28, 2016.

The test fee shall in no case be reimbursed. Please note that the payment of the Admissions Test fee alone does not mean application has been completed.

How to Apply

1. Registration


During the registration phase you will be asked to insert your personal data and at the end you will receive a confirmation email with your username and password to access the system and go on to the following phases of the admission process.

Remember that the username and password are essential to browse your reserved area.

2. Application

Application for the Admissions Test

Applications for EU citizens are now open! It is possible to apply until August 28, 2016.

In order to take the admission test, you must complete the application procedure by accessing your reserved area on MyPortal (click here to login) using the username and password received via mail in the registration phase. Select Registrar’s Office from the menu on your left and click on Admissions test.

During the application procedure you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire for the choice of the test location. The choice must be done online and is irrevocable.

3. Payment


The test application is finalized only after the payment of the test fee of euro 160, that must be completed by August 28, 2016, on penalty of exclusion.

The payment can be performed by MAV, credit card or bank transfer.

Payment by bank transfer must be done by August 24. In the bank transfer description candidate’s surname and name must be specified and all the bank charges must be at the candidate’s expense. Moreover, you are requested to send us a proof of payment to info@hunimed.eu.

The test fee shall in no case be reimbursed.

The Test Day

The Admissions Test for European Students will be paper-based and will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the locations listed in the Test Centres section.

Candidates are not allowed to leave the test within the first 60 minutes of the test and within the last 15 minutes of the test.

Candidates sitting the test in Milan will have to present at 10.30 am for identification and registration with a valid identity document – identity card, driving license or passport – on penalty of exclusion.

Candidates sitting the test in any other city will have to arrive to the selected location 30 minutes in advance to complete the registration procedures.

Ranking List

Given the numbers of places available, EU citizens will be admitted according to the ranking in descending order of test score and provided that they obtain a minimum score of 20 points.

The test scores are assigned as explained in the Medical Admissions Test page.

Candidates with a score below 20 will not be admitted, no matter the position obtained in the ranking. Candidates scoring above 20 points will be admitted according to the available places.

The ranking list will be published on this page on September 23, 2016, maintaining anonymity. 

You will be able to verify your position in the ranking through the pre-matriculation number generated during the application procedure. Moreover, in order to see your score you will have to access your personal page on MyPortal, using the username and password obtained during the registration phase.

Online enrollment

Admitted candidates will be able to enrol online between September 23rd and September 29th, 2016. 

The first instalment of € 4.156 must be paid mandatorily by September 29th on penalty of exclusion. It shall in no case be reimbursed.

Not covered places will be filled according to the following procedure:

  • publication of the number of places not covered on this page; candidates whose position in test ranking was immediatly beyond the number of places available will be admitted (reserve list);
  • eligible candidates must enrol and pay the first instalment (4.156 €) within two working days from the day of publication of each reserve list by 6.00 p.m. of the second day;
  • the procedure will be iterated until there are no more places available.
